Welsh start-up, TPiD, shortlisted for Global Sports Technology ‘Oscars’ Awards.

Talent Pathway iD, an innovative North Wales start-up has been shortlisted for the prestigious global Sports Technology Awards in  ‘Best Athlete Coaching and Performance Technology’.

The company, Talent Pathway iD (TPiD) was only formed 12 months ago on Anglesey, North Wales with a vision to radically transform the way sports and industries use data and research to identify and develop their talent.

The company is now fast becoming a world leading research driven technology company, using state of the art Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning to provide organisations with intelligent and bespoke data insights.

The global awards ceremony has been dubbed ‘The Oscars of Sports Technology’

Rebecca Hopkins, CEO of Sports Technology Group said: “The awards were founded nine years ago and have emerged as the leading global celebration of tech-led innovation in sport. The Awards’ trophies command huge industry respect because the judging process determining winners is so rigorous.”

Phil Nelson, CEO TPiD said: “We are up against some hugely successful heavy weight businesses in our category, and I am delighted the judges across 5 continents, representing over 130 sports have recognised TPiD as a real game changer out of the hundreds of entries.”

He added: “These awards are a way of recognising TPiDs globally unique system. We offer organisations solutions to the challenge of data organisation, understanding and easy visualisation.  By analysing all data collectively across all aspects of the organisation TPiD can help the organisation understand which of their data is most important for optimal athlete and coach development.”

The ground-breaking system was initially developed by founding member, Dr Dior Anderson. He realised most athlete data was still being looked at in silo's rather than collectively.  AI and machine learning are used to simplify the collection and interrogation of huge amounts of data and present it in a user-friendly way to ensure that coaches and athletes could see and understand all the data in one place.

In todays’ fast paced world, companies need to adapt quickly to changing markets, Innovative technology has a huge role to play from grassroots right through to high-performance sport.  Athletes and coaches are supported through world leading cutting-edge technologies and the brands shortlisted in this year’s STA Awards represent the visionary work at the forefront of global sport.
